In his role at UBS, David provides expert review and optimization of existing asset allocations, the creation of optimized investment proposals, guidance on portfolio construction and implementation, and strategies that reflect the firm’s in-depth research capabilities. David’s extensive expertise and deep understanding in investment and risk management provides a value-added perspective when creating an investment strategy aligned with a client’s needs and goals.
Before assuming his current role at UBS, David spent 10 years with Julius Baer in various roles. Prior to the sale of Julius Baer’s private banking operations in the Americas to UBS, David held the titles of Chief Currency Strategist and Senior Economist for the Americas. After the sale, David became the Chief Strategist for Julius Baer Investment Management (now know as ARTIO). Prior to his time with Julius Baer, David was Chief Global Strategist for IDEA (an economic think tank with offices in London, New York and Singapore) for three years. David also has 12 years of Treasury Products experience in Canadian banking.
David holds his Series 7 & 66 licenses. He received his B.A. from Dalhousie University in Canada and his BCom and M.B.A. from Dalhousie University in International Finance.
